Everyone will die someday.

One of mine has been like that for months. You have nothing to worry about. Besides, they are so cheap it almost seems pointless not to replace it.

Serious question though, iirc USB is 5v? Just not sure on the ampage, just rather not pull it out and get a shock

Of course you won't, the shock isn't even string enough for you to pull away. It's like bad puns and needles. Had a dodgy USB port that always shocked me if I plugged something in.
