It had better or else i ain't got much chance with my setup:o but the rig you have there is real sweet and i would expect it to run crysis at high settings with no problems.

I'm afraid it wont, you need at least a QX6850 @ 5GHz, SLI 8800GTX Ultra and 8GB of RAM ...

Of course a Quad Core, 8800GTX setup on a 22" will run it on Max settings.

NOTHING will run Crysis maxed: Crytek have gone on record saying the game is designed to make a computer built 3 years from now sweat its cogs trying to run it maxed! The game is mainly a tech demo for their new graphics engine, and that graphics engine has been built with future technologies in mind as well.
That said, yours will run it better than mine! :D

Yeah, I remember them saying just how easy it was to bring an 'uber' system to it's knees with the new engine.

Don't bode well for me though, medium settings F T W! :p

Then whats the point in having a 'Max' Setting if a top end system is going to be unplayable....

The game will run absolutley fine on the system the youve bought there on max settings. The only time you will see stuttering (on any system) is when you start destroying houses (grenading, driving into them, rocketing etc.) As it is extremely strenuous on the PC as there will be so much physics taking place i.e roof falling in causing chain reaction (knocking everything else over)

my x2 3800, 2gb and x1800xt best be able to run it in either low or medium. I dont care too much what it looks like, as long as im not bored after the first hour or so of playing it

the demo is due end of sept, wait for that..
Yea, you could wait till Sep 25th and see what people get with it. But what would you do if the guys here are telling you it won't run max? Spend another £300 on 1 more GTX?
You've done your research on the rest of the components so that all looks in order. Maybe future proof the PSU by upping it 100W? I'm not sure on that one though.

As mentioned, you will have practically the fastest gaming PC possible so don't worry, you will be amazed at it all :D

Don't forget about the Hard Drive!

Edit: And a copy of Vista if you don't already have it.
