With the recent US stance towards Iran and the long hostility between both countries, will this eventually lead to some sort of invasion on par of the US on Iran? This links seems to sum up on or two things that has happen lately.
This would probably be seen by some as a worrying trend.

... The arrest of five Iranian officials, seized by US troops in a raid on an office in Irbil in northern Iraq, could signal a new more assertive US policy towards Tehran.

What will be the aftermath effect on the middle east and world in general?

The warning

The tough talking

And now some actions....what next?

Israel have already drawn up plans for a strike on Iran - they just need to get the go ahead from the USA - (heavily summarised from an article in the Times a week or so ago).

Why do they need a go ahead from the USA?

nope, Israel takes unilateral action, its done it before, indeed it prevented Iraq from acquiring its first nuclear missile in the 1980`s by doing such a mission and will do it again regardless of the target, besides which it would never get an official thumbs up from the USA.

Yeah but one thing Israel do not want to do is step on the USA's toes...

It wouldn't get, and it wouldn't even ask for a public or official 'thumbs up' from the Americans. They will however let the Americans know what they're doing and keep them fairly well informed. Last thing the Israelis want is to annoy the country that funds and supplies their armed forces and lends massive political support to them.

That was a relatively short hop across Jordanian airspace.

To strike Iran would require traversing Iraq, where you can barely fly a kite without getting it shot down. Plus you'd need jamming support, tanking operations, AWACS support....its a totally different order of magnitude to the osirik attack.

lol, they honestly dont care... really, they dont. they didnt "ask" if they could bomb iraq in the 80`s, they went ahead and did it, everyone condemned them for doing it including the USA, and the world in hindsight was a safer place for them doing it.

And everyone would know. The US couldnt say 'Oh, we didnt notice the massive fleet of bombers and support aircraft flying through Iraqi airspace....'
