will WOW ever get a ....

Will there be a new WoW 2?

Look at Eve Online, the game and its engine is developed to evolve over time, infact the developers reckon they can push Eve for another 50 years.

If there is a new WoW 2, what would happen to the current MMO? Would they shut the servers overnight? Would they transfer current gamers across to WoW2 for free?

Or would they continue with the current WoW and addon additional continents, raids, etc and keep the graphic specs down so that the gamw could be ported to consoles?

Or finally, would they run out of ideas and let the universe of WoW slowly sink until all players have moved on?

Interesting times ahead I think...
 
They are more likely to bring out another game thats unrelated to WoW, and get the WoW fans who support blizzard, and anyone else in the new game subscribe, trying to not dent their own WoW userbase as badly as possible in the process.

Eventually subs will diminish and servers will be merged to as few as possible, while the game is still profitable.

I dont see why they would transfer anything across, bar maybe a few 'veteran' gifts for the hardcores.
