Will you be ditching your 980 TI\TX for Pascal?

Next? like a child? as if you won something, or even proved anything with this?

Do you think the prices are just going to drop overnight? Are you really that clueless?

You seem to think 980ti will be worthless in the coming weeks...

I think it's you that is clueless :p

Worth less than you think , not worth **** all!

I must say easy you surprise me here, I usually see you posting in motors where I view you as one of the better ones to follow, in this you come across like some blinded fanboy which I didn't expect from you of all people!

Just pullin your pud...:p

Bit of fun...

Used 980ti should be selling for around £200-250 soon. That's just how these things work, and all this talk of vultures and morals is just childish. It was the same with the 780ti when the 980 released...

Having paid £600 for my current card, I'll be happy to pick up another for SLI at the going 2nd hand price. I'll then take it up the Ronson when I go to sell both for whatever new card I go for, be it the 1080ti or 1180ti or whatever.

This isn't a new concept we're talking about here! :p

why is everyone upset lol, prices of old gen are bound to crash with a node shrink this big.
and it's not only 980Ti and Titans, all the rest will drop from 380/390/fury/970/980, but Ti/X will be the one losing the most value because they had the highest value.
1070 isnt really cheap like ppl think, the MSRP is £320, retail should start from £350 and up, i think it's really hard to see 980Ti going sub £300, it should stay above that and talon the 1070 for like £50 behind

1070! Faster than a Titan-X... faster than a Titan-X!! lol

We will see when benchmarks appear... I don't believe a word what they said yesterday. It was all confusing and parts were blatant lies. Why didn't they show real benchmarks comparing the 980 and 980 ti and titan x versus the 1080 and 1070 in real world gaming not the mixture of confusing data they tried to pass on as facts that we didn't know were based on VR or real world gaming, they are basically selling ( as he screamed out free features LOL, no they are not they are paid for) VR software that optimizes VR and playing as if it is their hardware doing this magic ... reality was software optimizations with a minor bump as we always get.

Don't be blinded by hype and numbers that mean nothing in real world by these companies.

well im happy that 980ti will drop, but it wont drop properly for a good 4 months atleast, there are thousands of 980ti's retailers need to shift so im waiting on the 980ti kingpin edition. 750 right now, maybe in a few months they will go down to £250? if the 1080 is priced at 450/500

This is how every GPU presentation is done. You very rarely get actual proper benchmark comparisons in any of their slides.

I was thinking the same thing. I hazard a guess around the £300 mark over the next few months or so. Those talking TI's down to £200 have a vested interest in doing so. They will get there eventually but probably not for a long while yet.

Exactly, let's dispense with conjecture and sit tight. Not too long left

I still don't believe the 1070 will be faster than a 980ti, maybe an overclocked 1070 will equal a stock 980ti at 1080p.

I would say the resale value of the 980ti depends on how close the 1070 is in performance, the 1080 will obviously be faster but also is in a different bracket.

The 1070 has 25% less cores than the 1080 and also standard 256 bit GDDR5, so that will be 25% slower than 1080 at least. 1080 at 1860mhz in the 3dmark leak was 8-10% faster than OC 980ti.

Anyway the reviews should be online in a couple of weeks.

Exactly...

People on here are so gullible...

why should people be gullible when that guy in the nvidia presentation is directly saying that a 1080 is twice the gpu as a Titan x

this is a presentation shown to the world, i dont think they are lying when thousands of engineers and scientist made this card and spending millions over 3 years of development....

Cause it's twice the performance in VR not games...

Even you have been blinded by the hype...

I don't think second hand 980ti will hit 200 as they will snapped up before then and new ones will more likely stay around 300 or just below for quite a while unless there is a large amount to shift.
