Right, this is why I'm still at 1080p 120hz. Cards still aren't getting powerful enough for some games at 1440p, and many expect to move to 4k soon.. bit worrying.

Need a seriously massive boost to give high frame rates at less common resolutions, i think the high refresh rate monitors have spoiled some of us a little :)

im gonna wait for the 1080ti before i get rid of my 980ti

i have got a acer predator 4k monitor and i wanna be able to max out the fps to match the Hz (60) with out compromising on the pretty's

i made the mistake with buying a 980 on release then getting the ti on release and loosing a tone of cash getting rid of my old cards

Nope, i'm going to hang on to my Titan X, it eats everything thrown at it at 1440p , runs 24/7 at 1450/2000 and in my custom loop never sees over 40 degrees.

I made the mistake of buying the 'half fat' gpu's before, within a few months i'm upgrading again, so I'll be hanging out for Titan or the top tier Ti variants.

If the old Titan x still isn't showing its age by then i'll wait for the next gen.

Occupying the top slot in a few benchmarks for a few days whilst amusing isn't worth £500+ unless the games show a worthy increase in image quality and frame rate.

erm, yes my results are far higher than them test results you show, for example Tomb Raider Benchmark with everything ultra on 1440 res with v-sync disabled due to g-sync on and in all the 3 regions it tests all the regions are above 60fps
