And yes, g/free sync will help smooth out the FPS dips and make 40-60FPS a lot more playable but as reviewers and others sensitive to motion clarity and other things, low FPS is still low FPS and free/g sync doesn't fix those issues.
Hey I only brought my 980TI 3 months ago. Have I seriously been screwed over? I am not techy. will the new cards be a lot better?

According to Nvidia, so does 980Ti / Titan X![]()
Are will you a wait?
Don't be daft, they started by saying it was comparable to a 980sli, remember real world SLI is not 100% you are lucky to get 50%-70% use out of the 2nd card.
The lies were then added to make it all seem amazing by stating these fictional numbers of 2x the titan x and 3x the efficiency ... Impossible with the amount of cores and die shrink the the 1080 has.
I'm starting to think a lot of you on here are just trolling now... Logic has gone out of the window.
I'm also shocked that some have not been banned yet. I thought the 3 strike rule was in place on the forum...
Anyways not replying anymore till real benchmarks come out and the silly people on here stop their stupidity, you know who you are...
I presume you have a 980ti? You talking about "max" settings (and I mean everything on max, AA as an exception if you want)? What res?
Well you are also beating gregster's titan x (which is OC'd I think) too....

He has tested out all those games with max settings and shows his FPS in the corner, which more or less falls in line with what other reviews/benchmarks show.

Maxwell "supported" ASync as well. Just need the drivers enabled
With a 980ti already you may as well wait for full fat Pascal/Vega
