Wimbledon

It would be really great if Murray did win, just to break the 'fred perry was the last one to win it in 1936'. And then in the future they'll be saying "we've had no british wimbledon winner for 77 years since Andy Murray won it in 2013".
 
yes it would. but even if he did win, it still won't stop drive by asshats posting in future tennis threads. "he's not won it enough times, didn't have to play nadal/federer/etc" :rolleyes::p

Nothing will stop some people, it's a bit like many conspiracy theorists, when they're proved wrong they just change the prediction slightly and carry on as if nothing has happened.

Didn't get a chance to watch either match yesterday but I'm pleased that Murray got through without another punishing five set match, here's hoping he can take advantage of this opportunity.
 
I'll say one thing about women playing less sets. They're under more pressure to get early leads. Men can lose 2 sets before being fully warmed up and still make a comeback.
