** WIN an MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II/OC Graphics card! **

I'm pretty sure they can IP check. I was part of a different v-bulletin style forum before with an IRC also and if I suspected any dual accounts I could let them know through iRC and they could just check if the IP was used more than once and ban the accounts and IP address. Why not just check the winner in the same way?

I think only those of us who get the free shipping should be able to participate in these type of events. Unless someone has been a member for a year or two and only has 50 or so posts there ok too. Even though I have only been on these forums for about 4months I do try to contribute my 2 cents where I can :) Will be ******* off if someone with like 10 posts wins this. As far duplicate accounts I'm sure OcUK are all over our IP addresses :)

As people have said, a guy who has never contributed wins a nice shiny gpu off people who have been here 1-11 years.

should have been a minimum date joined or post count jobby. not really fair imo.
 
Stop being so emo. Competitions should be open to all.
If some 1 line wonder wins. Brilliant. That's good publicity for OCUK. Which means more people coming back to post, which means more competitions in the future. Everyone wins.

I hope if I don't win the card, I at least get a game. I <3 Tomb raider :p

Well you havent been here majorly long yourself. Someone who's been here 8 years might feel the same about you winning it.

Just chill out guy, it's a bit of fun for everyone.

ok let me explain:
step 1 - incorrect answers removed (Surprisingly large number of these for such a simple competition)
step 2 - winner and ten runners up drawn
step 3 - winning entries are checked and if any duplicate entries are found they are DQ'd and suspended from the forum.

Edit: Would be just my luck that my fat fingers gave the wrong answers :)

nothing to stop them using a different computer though. i could have wandered around Reading University's campus making dozens of different usernames on different computers and they could not have proved that it was me doing that versus me telling lots of people in my university about the competition and lots of them joining for the competition

it would be unfair to do it now, but prehaps for future competitions it would be best for OcUK to only accept people who have been members of the forum from before the competition started, or as you have said the forum members who are on here a resonable amount of time (ie, those who qualify for free shipping, or the members market).

its not ideal, but its possibly the only way to stop a determined multi entrant
