wow that looks pricey :P
i think a 360 + 240 might be overkill maybe 1 360 or 2 240 will be good enough
but with a case like this i wouldn't really care :P

plus that case would look sweet with a window if i win i will have to get the saw out and buy some acrylic ;) (man i hope i win getting excited now :D)

humm might have to cancel my entry as i forgot my motorbike insurance is up so have no cash for the next month or so unless you guys dont mind me starting the build next month :D

The Shinobi XL is a beast for sure to be able to house anything you might have, more than its little brother. It would be the best opportunity for me to start a new watercooled system. Since I am new to water cooling, I'll just start with cpu cooling and get a kit. I quite like the V10 watercooling kit 360 that put up together by the OCUK Tech Lab, though I prefer the XSPC bay reservoir. I'll stick to kit until I get some hands on. However, after going through forum, I know that that Laing pump and EK supreme HF cpu block are popular for good reason. So here's what I'm going to put into the Bitfenix Shinobi XL, if I got one.

1X XSPC EX360 120mm Radiator - Black
1X Laing 10W DDC-Pump 12V DDC-1T
1X XSPC Acrylic Tank Reservoir for Laing DDC (or may be the XSPC bay reservoir later)
1X EK Supreme HF CPU Waterblock - Copper Plexi
3X Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm 1850 RPM
1X Mayhems Ultra Pure H20 Watercooling Fluid
2X XSPC 7/16" ID [16/11mm] Clear
2X OcUK 1/2" Barbed Fitting G1/4 - FatBoy Style - Black Nickel Finish

good luck.

btw, the watercooling reference guide provided is very useful for beginner like me. thanks.

if i won, i wouldnt water cool, because i cant afford it, but i would bodge it up allot and cram my terrible hardware tahts falling apart inside it. please let me win ;)

Really fancy switching over to a custom watercooling setup. The Shinobi XL seems like a great choice. :)

Swiftech Apogee GTZ Waterblock
XSPC EX360 120mm Radiator
EK Water Blocks EK-DCP 4.0 Pump
EK Water Blocks EK-Bay Res
7/16" ID (5/8" OD) Masterkleer PVC Tubing Clear - 3.3 Metre Pack
EK-PSC Compression (ID 7/16", OD 5/8") - G1/4 Black (8)
Mayhem Pre-Mix X1 UV Blood Red - 1Ltr

If I were to win this I'd probably just grab one of the watercooling kits that OCuk stock as long as it contains everything I need. Have never watercooled before, but there's a first time for everything! The case looks so sleek, it's lovely.

Also, I would definitely look for advice on the forums before hand to make sure I do nothing wrong or buy the wrong things! Would be a good learning experience.

I reckon that dual loops is the way to go with a case with so much radiator potential.

One thing i would do to this case is remove everything bar the essentials in order to have room for rads and finally get to use the dremel i've been too scared to use on my TJ11 :(

A GTX 460 in one loop, i5 2500K in the other... until i upgrade my main rig anyways :p

YOUR BASKET
2 x OcUK Tech Lab - D5 Vario Pump & Alphacool Clear HF D5 Top Value Combo £84.98 (£169.96)
1 x Thermochill TA120.2 High Performance Radiator £76.58
1 x EK CoolStream RAD XTX (360) £74.99
1 x EK Supreme HF CPU Waterblock - Nickel Plexi £56.99
1 x Lamptron FC Touch Fan Controller - Black £49.99
2 x EK Dual Bay Spin Reservoir - Acetal £46.99 (£93.98)
1 x XSPC EX240 120mm Radiator - Black £39.98
2 x Phobya Balancer 250 Black Nickel £26.99 (£53.98)
1 x Mayhems Aurora - Gemini Pink Coolant 1L £14.99
1 x Mayhems Aurora - Nebula Blue Coolant 1L £14.99
1 x EK-CPU Easy Mount HF - Black £8.99
20 x OcUK 7/16" G1/4 - High Flow Style - Shiny Silver - Compression Fitting £3.29 (£65.80)
Total : £733.79 (includes shipping : £10.50).

The TA rad would be at the front with push pull
The EX at the back, after dremelling some of the Pcie slots off.
XTX roof mounted

Top drive bay - FC touch
Then the two EK res'

Somewhere mounted horizontally (one top, other bottom?) would be the two cylinder res' with D5's suspended from them with their respective coolant colours :D

I'd buy the OcUK Tech Lab V12 Watercooling Kit 360 to go in it.
Can you explain how the winner will be chosen, the person who posts the best setup or do you put all the entrants into a hat. Thanks.
All the entrants are lined up against a wall, and valkia is blindfolded and given a dart.

Good luck everyone!

I'm changing me build soon so hear goes.

EK CoolStream Radiator XT 360 mounted in the roof.

EK CoolStream Radiator XT 240 (120.2) mounted in the front

EK Supreme HF CPU Waterblock

EK Full cover GPU blocks for GTX 480 SLI (2x)

2x Laing 18W DDC-Pump 12V DDC

Koolance RP-402X2 Dual 5.25" Reservoir for 1 or 2 Laing DDC Pumps

An Array of EK PSC Compression Fittings 7/16

HI Flow SLI bridge.

May need a few high flow fittings.

Masterkleer Clear 7/16 tubing

Mayhems Aurora - Nebula Blue Coolant for the CPU loop

Mayhems Aurora - Extinction Green Coolant

I would use the Zalman fans I already have, they have very good static pressure.

Controlled by the trusty Zalman FC.

I think it would look smart and certainly a challenge to fit it all in neat and tidy.
