Window Tints

I dont really understand why the car makes any difference to the choice of tyres

Do older cars not need to perform emergency stops on wet roads from time to time etc? Do you no longer need a safe tyre when your car reaches a certain value?

Fox in "too anal to recognise wind up" shocker!

I'm trying to picture the tyre fitters face, he must have thought you were taking the **** when you asked for your skip to be shod with 300 quids worth of rubber, I bet they still have a laugh about it during their tea breaks to this very day.

Silly comment to make wind up or not.

I agree with that, get as good as you give. Not much of a wind up though, I'd put Eagles on a Corsa 1 litre if I had to :p

Why is that? The person it was aimed at was very vocal about the OP's car, surely it's fair game to have a pop at the piece of crap they drive too?

He knows it's a piece of crap though - he drives it because it's all he can affords not because he fails at cars.

A piece of crap that'll stop well and won't understeer into a tree.

I actually haven't fitted any tyres to the car, it's got what it came with which was 2 continentals on the front and two firestones on the rear but i'll be changing the fronts soon with more continentals. I will replace my rears with continentals too when they are worn.

Fair play, I do dish out some abuse and I expect to get some back but at least make a valid point rather than taking the easy option and going 'lol Fiesta'.

I'd much rather drive Janesy's piece of crap and be confident about stopping than driving the OP's epic piece of chav crap thats going to be aquaplaning all over the place

This.

Taking the **** because somebody is on a tight budget and simply cannot afford a decent car is really rather a poor show (Don't bring up the Polo thread, thats different :p). Whereas Tupac spend thousand and thousands of pounds on his diesel Corsa. He had the money to do better but didn't ;)

Whoa there boy, to paraphrase you.

I can say what I want, thats the beauty of freedom of speech

and

If you can't take a joke, don't drive one

I can almost smell the hypocrisy wafting off you.

Seriously, if I needed your input I'd have addressed you by name.

:/

I can take a joke but I don't like having nasty digs directed at me for the sake of winding me up. I know my car is a bit rubbish but I spend my money wisely and keep it standard and well maintained, that way I can get my money back on it and buy something nice when the insurance allows. I've never claimed my car was mega awesome, I just like to make sure what ever i'm driving is safe and reliable and so for so good. 2 cars, 2 years on the road, 20 odd thousand miles and no breakdowns or accidents so although I buy bangers, they aren't the heaps of crap you make them out to be.

Don't try playing the pity card, you ripped into the OP without any remorse. Whatever he's done to his car is his business, he's clearly happy with the result and it's no more your business to slate his motor than it is for me to slate yours.

Fair enough but try finding a valid point to take the **** about. I had a valid point ie the silly exhaust and bad wheels but you chose to single me out because I drive a cheap car and I was an easy target, not because you actually had any point to make.

There's plenty to take the mick out of "tupac" buying a mediocre car and turning it into a crap car by sticking tat to it. People apparently do such things to their cars to make them stand out and to make them individual (lol) so they need to expect a slating occasionally.

I cant really see much to take the mick out of buying an older fiesta, which have always been reasonable cars, and maintaining it to a good standard. Good tires and sound brakes or phat alloys and sweet window tints..... I know where my money would be

Your digs at the blatently obvious showed absolutely no more imagination or forethought than mine.
