the download tool isn't working for me otherwise I would do that, took 10 hours to download the ISO then at the end it disappeared and no iso saved, so annoying!

they worked fine when I was running W7 lol 32 bit version of the tool errors and its a empty box with no message in it

Its working fine for me, just finished downloading and its checksum matches the one i uploaded.

Can you try a different browser or something like that. Failing that i will upload them somewhere else too (not sure where though).

Anyone disabled Lock screen on Win 10 Home? Tried registry path above but i cant get that path exactly.

I have a USB Microphone which I've set up and works, but cortana won't have any of it.

It should be fine. You might have to do the link again after upgrading. Many people have their files on another drive.

Cool, I'll give the upgrade a go on the main machine tomorrow

The only other thing i can think of would be to check your region and language settings in the old style control panel?

Not really clear on this at the moment, they may allow you to install Windows 7/8 and then upgrade it to generate a new hardware id, but knowing Microsoft its more likely you will have to buy a license for the new hardware.

If you change a hard drive? Should be ok. If you change motherboard and CPU? Different story.

Expand user config folder then:
Administration templates, control panel, personalisation - disable lock screen.

- gpedit is the way to do it though as I disabled mine.

Probably because Home doesn't allow to be joined to networks therefore no requirement for group policy.

Hard drives are no issue.

I got a new SSD today and clean installed from USB after activing on a different hard drive yesterday and all is okay.
