Windows 10

Next build cant come soon enough. System has started to lag pretty badly thanks to a service called runtime broker really battering my CPU. Its pretty much bringing my system to a standstill. :(

what anti virus software are you using? (if any)

just done a quick look online and posts have suggested the issue is relating to Norton 360 or Norton internet security

posts are back from 2012 but may help with the issue.

also mentions the time app as well.

Yeh found all those posts as well. Im using NOD32 and have done for years. Not using time app either. Its crazy, it only started over the weekend and have to have task manager open all the time closing the service every time the system starts lagging.

did you install any new software over the weekend?

hi guys I have windows 7 64bit at the moment and from seeing the bits about windows 10 am deffo gonna upgrade but im worried that software wont work. can anyone confirm that if it works on windows 7 it will work with the new 10?

I want to get the free upgrade to Windows 10, but don't see the Windows icon in the taskbar to initiate the reserve. I realize this is because I'm not on Win 8.1, so how do you reserve it, if like me you're on Win 7 64?

I tried running various files, but nothing happened?

W T F...

Pin to start has just randomly started working for shortcuts to desktop apps... wondered why the menu option was there but not working (atleast for me) been messing with it for weeks but as you can't drag and drop those shortcuts to the start menu either I thought it was just a legacy option they hadn't got around to removing... while checking to see if the 154 update was available today (it wasn't) I randomly happened to click it by accident on a shortcut and it worked - it has never had any effect before today.

Give me better group management and visual style (the tiles are incredibly ugly), an aero glass style theme (without having to use 3rd party modifications), Icons that atleast don't look like they were ripped from a beta version of Windows 3.xx and the ability to make explorer look and function more like Windows 7 and we might actually have something I could live with.

EDIT: That said I can't have the start menu setup I want now either - its randomly stopped letting me have 2x medium, 1x wide tile on one row......................................................

EDIT2: And now pin to start has stopped working again :S (EDIT: Figured it out for whatever reason pin to start only works for the first ~30 seconds after booting the OS - after that it has no effect)
