I have something called "Subscriptions" and that's how I access this thread.

Sorry didn't mean it nastily <3. It also could be that it has tried updating but failed. Have a look at your update history.

I'm getting the same too, the rest of my Win 10 computers have activated fine apart from one.

So you can roll it back with no ill effects if it has issues?

Is there a time constraint? I guess it is like a temporary restore point?

I just asked Cortana to open google chrome and she did

Is there a list of what you can ask anywhere?

She will also open steam but i cant get her to open a game lol.

I've gone back to 8.1

I was getting bsod blue screens and it totally booked my streaming to my raspberry pi.

I'll leave it a few months for it to sort itself out.

I saw something about that on Reddit, pretty sure someone mentioned MS are aware. You shouldn't enter a single key!

I just did another install, grumbled about keys, wouldn't let me click next, clicked I'll do this later, when I went to activate it, it was already activated. :)

I never entered any keys. Just done like 5 more reboots but nothing.

I'll leave it for a few days. Only just got everything installed again. If it doesnt fix itself in a few days I'll take an image of the drive and start over from W8 and do the upgrade.

Installed windows 10 enterprise from my students subscription thing. I dunno what it gives me over home/pro though.

Not had a chance to play as I'm working the night shift but download, install and activation was under half an hour.

I'm happy with windows 10, for me it's smoother and definitely quicker. Had some issues with Cortana not working but sorted that. Windows 8.1 was good but for me personally Windows 10 just does it better.

Once I used the download the install went well, quite happy with the result.

Have noticed one strange thing with Chrome though, on the odd occasion you change the search details in the tool bar it does not update and you end up with new text on top of the old or it stays blank.

Yeah I've had this as well, or the window stops responding after snapping it to one side.

Should I have indexing enabled? I had it disabled in W8.1 and search worked fine but seems in W10 search doesnt work at all without indexing.

Isn't it bad for SSD's too?

Managed to installed Windows 10 Home on my laptop after so many failed update from Windows Update. Was finally solved issue on thur morning after googled about error code.

Opened regedit and go to...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WIMMount

Deleted Windows 10 installation settings inside WIMMount, disabled anti-virus and re-downloaded Windows 10 Home then it successful completed prepared installation, restarted PC and installed Windows 10 fine. :D

Now Windows 10 successful installed on 2 PCs and 2 more to go.
