Have just installed Windows 10 - doesn't look too bad!
Thats what I was wondering, and why I went back to Windows 7, because at least I knew exactly what I was doing when I wanted to do a re-install.
Go to microsoft site, download Win10 ISO, configure it as a boot drive, then fresh install.
You can tell file explorer to open 'This PC' by default in the folder and search options page.

Its called a hackintosh
tbh I'd be all over hackintosh or linux for that matter but the main reason for me to be running windows is gaming..
It says in the FAQ
Just boot from the ISO / USB flash drive and skip the key screen (as long as you have activated 10 once you dont need a key)

Strange issue with Chrome, when typing in the url bar, text doesnt appear/distorts a bit.
Just updated my Surface Pro 2 to Windows 10 and I actually love it. The aesthetics are much improved over all previous versions of Windows imo and it's actually much improved for both touch devices and desktop devices even though some people have suggested it to be a step back for touch functionality.
Liking it so far. I was using start8 with windows 8 so had metro hidden away.
Still a lot of stuff I will never use as I am down the google road with storage / calendar and email but feels snappy

My Chrome has started grinding to a halt and also getting a ton of dropped frames on Youtube videos, it was fine yesterday!

Are your GPU drivers up to date?
My Store won't update, it just sits there on 'Pending' for hours and hours...
This is the Store it's self! not any other app updates!!! The annoying thing is it has a knock on effect of stopping any of the App updates that are also pending!!
I've tried stopping and restarting the update service and loads of other fixes out there!! none seem to work!!
Win10 10240 (RTM)... I'm still waiting for the final update to come through! (probly blocked up by the Store update too!!
