Windows 10

Is there anywhere to manually download updates like threshold 2? I'm relying on it to activate with a win 8 key but unsure whether it will download in its unactivated state

I have the option to install Insider Builds in windows update. I presume that this will just be in the form of updates?

I decided to select insider previews for my Dell tablet and it has now installed the TH2 release 10586 build.

I then checked and found that when rebooted it has automatically unslected the insider options.

All went well.

I downloaded the ESD's for both x86 and x64 and are now converting them to ISO's.

Just used the converted ESD to update my main PC, all went well.

Out of interest why did you create an en-US iso instead of en-GB, is an en-GB ESD not available at this time?

I didn't. I created an Eng GB ISO from a GB ESD file.
It worked well. If it was a US type I couldn't have saved my files and apps, which I did.

Then again if you meant the post that I made a day or two ago it was because only the US ESD was available then.

Patience. Microsoft are not headquartered out of London.

Keep in mind Patch Tuesday updates don't go live until 10am Seattle time ... which is usually 6pm GMT.

Out of interest, have Microsoft ever officially announced that the update will definitely be released today, or is this assumption only based on rumours, Chinese whispers or just wishful thinking?

It failed anyway, didn't give any indication to why, hasn't recorded it in the update history and is now not offering me the upgrade when rechecking.
