anyone tried the upgrade process from vista to windows 7

Yup, bust
FWIW, I'm finding it a little snappier in basic usage, but IMHO nothing really as major as has been claimed ATM. This may change as I load it up with crud, we'll see!

There can be some slight problems, like if you have 2 dynamic discs that are in span mode. They won't show up in 7 by default, you have to 'import' them to 7 by using the disk management app in administrative tools.

From what i have read over the past week it heavily touted to be today
There is the conference mentioned in the link about and some news sites posted the 7th back at the start of the year,

Heres hoping we see it today, i have an empty partition ready to go!

Further bits-
Contrary to an earlier poster, Punkbuster stuff is working fine (x64). However, you must use the Run As Administrator setting in compatibility properties.

Multiple monitors are atrocious ATM, it can't seem to remember the primary correctly if a fullscreen app is launched. It's also randomly dumping half my icons/ gadgets (Not even all of them?!) onto the other monitor.

The notification settings also need major work, if you want to turn off all the annoying security center stuff etc, then you need to manually OK each thing

Ah the library window looks familar but that playing window looks different to mine. Threw me off a little bit.

Works fine for me.

Just noticed than in the taskbar if you have a youtube video playing it moves it in the mini display on the taskbar.
