windows 7 experience score....

My 2 150gb raptors in raid 0 get a score of 6.0

what drives get better score - are we talking SSDs ?

Just curious after just getting new stuff.

thats not a great score is it? i get 5.9 on my standard laptop drive, would have expected raided raptors to be hitting 6.5+

well just built new bits... well CPU and mobo....

actually I meant to do clean install but turned it on and it booted up ... so am just using system at the mo.

I know I have to do a clean install...... but everything is working normal - have installed drivers from ASUS mobo.

are my raptors working ok ?

probs down to not being a fresh install. would have guessed it would be higher but i wouldnt go on the windows 7 score, if it feels quick then its probably working fine.

I score 5.9 with samsung SSD 60GB but 6.2 with Samsung spinpoint F1 7200RPM HDD 1TB

I think windows experience score is really load of rubbish. Better use benchmark (3rd party software)

Raid 0 Vertex drives haha.

I thought mechanical drives were maxxed at 5.9? Regardless of if its in Raid or not? Just seem to remember reading it somewhere :confused:

No thats just vista where evey thing can only go as high as 5.9

7.9...2 x 80GB Intel X25-M G2s in RAID0...

5.9 for a 150GB WD Velociraptor...

No he's right there's some arbritrary limits in win7 scoring so mechanical hds almost never score more than 5.9 - even for raided drives in many cases.

Corsair 64gb Extreme = 7.4

Raptor 150gb = 5.9

I get 5.9 for my 1tb samsung F1 but this is on Windows 7 build 7068

ok guys post up some other Benchmarks if you will ... and what program you used.... lets see how my raptors compare....... these probably are still fast but you get used to speed after a while and dont notice till they break!

There's a benchmark thread for SSD drives if you're interested. CrystalDiskMark and ATTO Disk Benchmark seem to be the tools of choice.
