windows 7 has been a bad experience so far.

I found it exceptionally easy to get used to, love the new taskbar navigation system, and like the show desktop preview tab bottom right.
Libraries are excellent for everything except music.

ive not had a good experience with windows 7, installing it kept freezing my pc and when i finally got it installed it kept freezing too. I do have a hunch i have a duf component which i will find out once my rma's get tested.

On the other hand, the 30mins it did work i have to say its a definate improvement and i cant wait for my system to be up and running again.

Well yesterday I invited myself to the windows 7, 64bit party and everything has gone beautifuly, Not had one problem finding drivers for any of the hardware i use :D

And I have Xp32 bit for running games faster/smoother than win7 64bit can.

With the speed of GFX Cards & CPU's these days the difference is very often so small its not even an issue.

This seems to be quite hit and miss, for me I've found since moving to windows 7 x64 that I've seen quite an improvement in performance including during games. Haven't had a single driver problem nothing yet has been found to be incompatable.

Seems to be down to luck to be honest, it's a shame not everybody seems to be enjoying Windows 7 as it can be.

Hello dmxdex2020, et al.
As I muddle through my day, offering support for those having difficulty with issues related to Windows 7, I find for the most part that a lot of users are quick to install the product without a bit of due research.
Microsoft has provided two key starting points to the Windows 7 experience, those being the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and the Windows 7 Compatibility Center. One is a program that scans your system, the other is a website for manually checking component and software compatibility. If users begin with these tools, their installation or upgrade experience is smoothed considerably.
Let’s also not forget that most drivers and apps that are having problems running in Windows 7 can be run in compatibility mode. Here are some handy links…they’re shortened links, but all redirect to an authorized Microsoft site.

Windows 7 Compatibilty Center-- http://bit.ly/4uZDu2

I hope this information proves to be of some use.

you should all have seen this coming - Roccat is officially the slowest company in the world - remember how long it took for the Kone and the Valo took to come out?

i reckon it'll be at least a year before Win7 drivers are out for the mouse :D

get a better mouse tbh.

also if you are finding mouse movement less accurate...its probably down to mouse acceleration still being enabled and also that your using a 60hz tft monitor.
not the best combination for gamers.

no issues with 7 here either, been using it since RC and now on the RTM.

no issues with ATI drivers or gigabyte mobos as mentioned earlier.

blaming MS for lousy driver support is misdirected. although W7 seems to have found rock solid drivers of its own accord for a lot of my hardware.

No issues with Vista or Win7 here, both are excellent on stability plus I have all possible drivers,do remember its up to the manufacturuer to supply the drivers not Microsoft(unless its their product)for their product, its called customer support,Canon have been very good at this compared to say HP for example, when Vista x64 was first released Leadtek had drivers out for my Leadtek USB DTV within 4 weeks(well done Leadtek).

I remember in the early days Vista got blamed a lot for lack of drivers when it was not the OS fault, things have changed quite a bit now however still a few lazy companies out there dragging their heels for Win7 driver support etc...

My rule is simple, I stay with companies that give good driver support,if they don't then I go elsewhere.

well me too not enjoying windows 7 atm, i have 4 printers and a scanner, all usb, when i first installed win7 on my new intel 80gb ssd all was fine, but now when i turn on a printer another printer dissapears from my devices, or when i tell the printer to print it sends the print to a different printer, might revert back to vista for a bit myself till problems are ironed out. oh using win 7 retail by the way.
