Windows 7 hits RC stage Build 7100

I'm slightly concerned about the integrity of the .iso I downloaded from Microsoft. Could anyone post the MD5 of their iso. The filename is:

7100.0.090421-1700_x64fre_client_en-us_retail_ultimate-grc1culxfrer_en_dvd

It is the latest x64 RC.

my XFX 4870 gets less than some peoples XFX 4850 on Win 7 scores too ... no idea why

I thought it might be because i run 3 monitors (1 x 22" and 2 x 17) but the 2 x 17" screens are powered off an older x1650xt card ... probably that which brings it down lol

lol if you downloaded it from ms you shouldnt be worried ;)
 
Thank you for the instant condemnation. I did download it from the MS website. The first time I attempted to download it, I got warned that the file was corrupt and unusable. I recieved no such warning the second time, but thought I'd check just to be sure.

Thanks to those of you who were helpful.

Is there any other more thorough way to check the file was downloaded correctly?

I tried to install Alcohol 120% yesterday on the 7600 version but it wouldn't install due to compatibility problems.
Is there maybe another program that works fine with Win7 ?

you don't trust md5 hashes? :D

they're solid. it's what people do when downloading naughty ISOs from naughty places. that's why you got the cynics posting.. it means the ISO is identical to the proper ones that are released via microsoft's own official channels.

Ashampoo Burning Studio or IMGBurn as it's recently been updated with more awesome and win than anything else :p

I use Ashampoo for burning, IMG burn for image burning and Elaborate Bytes' VirtualCloneDrive for disc image loading on virtual drives on x64 7-E.
 
Installed 7100 on my media PC because I heard it works better with DVB-S, it does, and it means I can now receive BBC HD :D
 
It's completely better than vista, I tried it since beta version and now have RC, the only problem is it doesn't let me play some online games due to problems with my VGA card, other than that, finally we had a system that works from microsoft, still wouldn't switch to MS systems back, love my ubuntu.
