Hi

So I am looking to buy Windows 7, but not until I can get an SSD at the same time which will be about a month or so. I heard somewhere that the price of around £65 was only applicable for pre-orders and that the price would go up when launched.

OCUK are now showing 10+ in stock so its been launched, but is the price due to go up shortly, if ever?

Looking around the price is due to increase Dec 31st.

Weather this still stands, I'm not 100% sure, but not heard anything to say anything different.

Europeans who want to get hold of Windows 7 but have not bought a new PC will be able to buy it at a discount. In the UK, the Home Premium edition of Windows 7 will be £79.99 until 31 December 2009.

WINDOWS 7 DISCOUNT PRICES
Home Premium - £79.99
Professional - £189.99
Ultimate - £199.99

By contrast buying this edition after 31 December will cost £149.99.

Well its certainly not going to go down in price, so really tempted to grab it now!!

The thing is I am eligible for the student offer at £30, although double the price this is more appealing to me as I dont not have to download it, burn the iso, install windows xp, then install windows 7. I have the cd, box and serial in one place. Also the grief of accessing my student email. Im settled on buying this. Will order tommorrow.

After Microsoft announced the removal of the E Version, they gave resellers a chance to order all the stock they wanted at the original price by a certain date. Any orders placed after that time would either get the discounted Upgrade version or pay full price.

OcUK have a lot of stock in our warehouse ready to ship with a second batch arriving when I ask for it. As for when the price goes up it's simple, we run out and that's it; you'll see this has been reflected in some e-tailers sell out prices already. Don't say you haven't been warned.

great i'll be ordering as soon as i get of the heli and drive an hr to get home lol
just hope the flight don't get delayed in anyway still at £66 yeah?

I'm gambling on getting it for circa £15 from work when it comes out on their enterprise license, just like with office 2007!

Slackworth, how many post's have you made, my brain can't even comprehend that number? how come your fingers are still working? or are they just stumps by now,,,,,, LOL

So the W7 home on-site for £67 is the full package and not just upgrade? I have been confused by prices where that seems the cost of upgrade one only. I need W7 for a new build so this is the one for me?
