Hey guys,

I'm currently running into a number of issues with my bootloader for my Windows 8 installation.

I've recently removed Ubuntu from dual boot on my laptop and I'm now faced with dreaded GRUB load issues when my laptop boots up.

I've tried fixing the issues with a bunch of fixes I found on Google but to no avail.

I've got a win8 USB drive and am currently able to access the troubleshoot installation. Refresh and Reset aren't working because the drive where windows is installed is locked.

This is what I'm getting in Diskpart:

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

select volume 1
active

reboot and see if that's fixed it, if not you might need to go into bootsect and do:

bootsect /nt60 all

*should* fix it

Reinstalling windows has not fixed the issues I was having.

is this drive (the one with windows) the first one in your bios boot options?
do you have any other physical disks in this pc other than the one above?

Got a feeling grub may have installed itself onto a different hdd and the bios may be loading that one first.

Macrium Reflect Boot disk would probably have fixed this, I've used it to fix things that Windows disc couldn't fix in automatic mode.

It has an option to 'fix startup issues'
