Windows Boot Timer Benchmarks

This is my timing now all games and steam and programs are installed.

Running windows 7 ultimate.

This is with my new Crucial M225 128GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive.

I think it needs to be able to boot straight to the desktop, so no password/login screen. I also ran it as admin, but not sure if that was necessary.
Ran fine here with the following popping up, asus express gate screen (10 second countdown), cpu fan error press F1 to continue then finally my windows logon password.

42ish seconds for me (does that included logging on time) not bad for my set up;

Any tips for speeding up anyone? I guess a fresh install would be the best way...

you could create an image file of your HDD then make a bootable disk of your image then install it as one long write.

but not sure how much difference this would make in real world terms

good work.

screen shot please!

Didn't see the point in taking a screen shot because it could be faked so easily.

To be fair though my install is only about a week old and my startup items include Microsoft Security Essentials and nothing else. I've even disabled a lot of services in control panel.

Bet I could get it down with more tweaks though :p
