Outlook support. About time.
Will give it a try.
anyone have problems with custom emoticons not working ?
That looks flamin awful. WLM already takes up way too much screen estate for what it does and now they're decking the bugger out with even more daft colours? Thank god A-Patch exists for something like this.
Re #2, it's definitely a change to not have the icons, but give it a try.
I'd be interested to know if you've gotten used to it (or not) and like it
(or not) in another week.
Windows Live as a whole had a couple of user experience goals this release,
two of which are:
1. move toward a cleaner, less cluttered UI in order to make your content
(email, photos, events, etc.) and your personalization (colorization of the
toolbar, or the new scenes in Messenger) be the highlight of your
experience.
2. do #1 without diminishing the ease-of-use of the application
One of the implementations of these goals was the removal of the icons in
the toolbars, and in our final release you'll see more changes that reflect
these goals. We've been testing these changes in our usability studies and
in general the feedback is that people like the cleaner look. We've also
been counting on hearing feedback from you, our beta users. And, as
expected, here it isI know that the removal of the icons is a pretty
startling change, and we appreciate you giving it a try and sharing your
reactions.
Hope that helps explain the thinking and how we got here...
Best,
Stacia
