Windows Mojave!

Google News 'Windows Mojave'...You'll find link after link talking about it. It would appear to be the case that the users were just shown a promotional video. They didn't really test it out!

Just had a read.

I think this might be down to bad marketing by Microsoft rather than negative reviews. If these users didn't already know about the features shown in the video, then Microsoft really need to do more to get the message across.

Maybe tutorial videos of the OS, like Apple do or a guided tour on first boot.

Vista IS slower than XP in most programs and ALL GAMES!!!! (my 8800GT on xp destroys an 4850 on vista, by (friend has same settings and lower res and he gets 30FPS, i get 60-100)

Out of interest. What are the platforms that you have and your friend have? CPU, Motherboard, Cooling, Expansion cards and running applications please.

I wan't to know what I am comparing your apple to.

Decided to give Vista another whirl, this time with Service Pack 1 as all the times I've used Vista I never had the Service Pack. Got it installed at the moment and it does feel rather snappy compared to what I remember. The data transfer seems MUCH smoother than pre-SP1 also.

I did something wrong, its not a LOT faster, its just faster :p

:D
browsing and looking around at your files does feel faster, but that doesnt matter when things are slower winrar for example was significantly slower, but im going to test it out nicely for the 2nd time and see if its worth it... but anyway i hate the layout

I use WinRAR a LOT, as the place I download all my stuff from (Newsgroup) has everything aside from some music put in .RAR files and I haven't noticed anything different between XP and Vista for un-RAR'ing stuff.
