Recently I bought some useless windscreen wipers, which I AM going to get a refund for

Anyway are there any particularly good makes out there (for a Honda Civic 02 plate)

Thanks

Stephen

Bosch wiper blades are meant to be highly recommended, I have read that they perform much better than cheaper ones.

Ok well they make a noise and judder that's how they are useless, you know as if they are worn out. Such idiots on all these forums really gets on my nerves. :(

Are you sure they are fitted properly, or have you actually tried them when they are wet?

Bosch and valeo tend to be what OEM use. Halfords blades are made by valeo but I don't know what they are like compared to branded valeo blades.

Refund on a perishable product is many lols too. The most I've done is swapped halfords crappy blades for more sturdy bosch ones if the customer pays the extra.

Halfords Staff always used to say that they were manufactured in exactly the same place as the el-cheapo ones. Whether or not this makes a difference I'm not sure but the for the cost of them I'd expect better.

Much better explained than the rubbish I just spouted - apologies!

To be perfectly honest, Bosch arent worth the money.

You can buy them from wilkinsons for £1.79 each, and they last 6-9 months. Bosch ones cost considerably more, but only last 2-3 times as long. They both have the same performance and work just as well.
Buy cheap, and buy more.

How are they useless?

Even the cheapest, nastiest wipers move the water.

The standard ones on my Saxo VTR were useless. I genuinely could see more without them running than with them on.

I've got Bosch Aerotwin retro-fit on mine now, they're way better performing than standard wipers and help make the car look less 90's. Got them from AutoBulbs Direct. *Think* this is the size I bought: link.

My £10 ebay bought aero blades work just as well and last just as long as the £31 Bosch BMW bought ones and perform better at speed too due to the complete blade being a spoiler for both sides.

Expensive wipers aren't all that.

Bosch Wipers are good at the start, but then start smearing really bad after just 3-4months. Really looking for a different make, but PIAA are really expensive and hard to find.
