Winter 2010/2011

December and January
At this range, confidence does fall away, but current indications are that Winter will start on a cold, dry note with December seeing temperatures widely below normal. Currently January is also expected to be drier and cooler than average.

we have grit deposits on all the little twisty hilly roads here already, which is daft, as it will have disolved by Christmas, its just wee dumps of the stuff, not in bins or owt.

reckon its going to be very severe, squirrells are piling nuts up and not digging them in, the geese have already gone and the hawthorns are red.

Looking forward to about 3 feet of snow and maybe another ice storm.

I was here for the massive ice storm the year before last and its one of the most amazing things ive seen.

A perfect winters day for me is freezing cold, clear blue skies and definitely no snow. I love winter, can't stand being to hot in the summer!

This. I sweat like a pig when I'm working in the summer. I don't want snow though, slows me down when I'm out on my round.

This. My first winter in the mid-west this year, gonna be fun!

I hope it's worse than last year. It's hilarious how the country (well, London) comes to a halt because of a little bit of snow.

I however was unaffected so I can just sit back and laugh :D

(Prays it doesn't happen to me!)

Last year whilst sorting the delivery out in the yard at work in the heavy snow, i built a snowman, but i got bored (and told off if truth be told) so i picked the snowman up (was kinda like packed snow) and threw it on the ground shouting at the top of my voice IVE KILLED HIM, HES BLOODY DEAD, to see my delivery driver looking very sheepish and waving his hands at me, there was only a bloody funeral procession going in the church over the road from us :(
