Quite a bit of snow up this way, the council seem to be on the gritting much better than last week

Its funny the council are out in force here gritting - we haven't seen a single flake of snow and not looking like we are getting any :( in the past when it has snowed proper they've been hilariously under-prepared.

Not exactly a snowstorm, but still, not bad for Mexico :p

I’m in West Kirby - going to chuck it down with snow later and it will be my two year old sons first experience of it - can’t wait

Was speaking to my mum earlier in Wirral, saying you've had snow the last two days, which is rare... Albeit not sticking! Wonder if you might find snow on Hilbre Island, away from the urban heat island effect?

They're like that here everytime a chilly night is predicted.

edit: they're out in force tonight and its forecast not snow, not even frost, but heavy rain.
edit:2 and the rain has started. That should wash all the salt off the road nicely, then. What a waste.

I can't wait to get up tomorrow morning - seems we are having heavy snow till lunch time then less snow after. Have to go for a spin now got winter wheels on.

Very unlikely to have any at my house (70m above sea level on the coast) but it was as low down as 200m just behind my house this morning so may creep lower when it kicks off tomorrow and there should be loads up in the hills :D

Funnily enough I was speaking with the local coast guard a few hours ago - they have everything on effective red alert for shipping between here, Hillbre and Wales - I could see the snow on the mountains across the water in Wales from West Kirby lake - it’s a beautiful part of the world here but damn it’s cold

Me too being a fellow Shropshire lad. Was fun in placed earlier today transporting my missus to work but cant wait to wake up to Armageddon. Lets hope it doesn't turn to rain too early, I might be walking to work on Monday morning if it is thick enough.

Organisers have cancelled a Christmas market in town because of the ton of snow that's supposed to hit from 3am Sunday!

I take it back! Quite a covering at my house despite it not being forecast to start until now :o None of the roads leading to my estate have been gritted and it's a very steep road off the main road to get to it.. Looking forward to getting out on the bike and heading up into the hills again today :D

It's snowing in SE London at the moment - not settling on concrete, but is on grass, wood, plants etc. Probably got half a cm on those now!

Heavy snow here now, I suspect I won't be driving in to work at 3.30am. A night in a ditch doesn't appeal much. :p
