The 'heavy snow showers' have finally started here, rendering the pavement a mid grey colour rather than dark grey. I think the local kids have a few more hours to wait before they can think about snowball fights yet

Got so much snow here in Manchester that we have a much quieter office due to people "struggling" to getting in, think there is about 5" outside. I cycled in fine mind you roads are gritted.

Got about 2 foot here in the garden, couldn't get my car out the space this morning never mind the street. Main road has been gritted but there's enough snow that the grit isn't doing much.

In the south east where there’s no fresh snow coming in the next few hours, it will be more dangerous to drive tonight won’t it, when the snow has started freezing over.

If its anything like here it won't make any difference as the temperature hasn't risen above freezing at all I'm looking at permafrost out there. How the sky can be so grey and not actually do anything is beyond me. Even the forecast for tomorrow has been downgraded from heavy snow to very light snow and I doubt we'll even get that.

Can people without locations beneath their avatars please kindly stop saying things like 'here' and 'where I am', like we're meant to telepathically deduce where people are.

Grumble.

im up in mirfield west yorkshire ,roads fine and nice and quiet tbh but got to plan a trip back down Cornwall soon ,came up for mot , vets ,and see parents

Can’t get through on the phone to BA, looks like I am stuck here this weekend. Annoying the same flight today and Saturday is running but mine tomorrow isn’t?

Its heavy in West End, Southampton, only issue is the snow is very fine at the moment its being blown around and not a great deal is sticking. Its almost to dry if that makes sense.

Meanwhile, the other side of Southampton, I think the Mojave Desert has seen more snow today

Limited to the crap you can pick up at bp...

They've unfrozen now due to sitting on site with power heat and revving the hell out of the engine, just have to explain to fleet why I only got 200 miles from 80litres...
