Seems to be the usual hyperbole here in the SE. I woke up this morning planning for the worst, but despite being very cold and clear overnight, we didn't even have any frost. I'm in Orpington now and it snowed heavily for a bit, but just long enough that there's a light dusting everywhere...and now the sun has come out.
 
Currently in the Amber area for snow on Tuesday morning, heavy snow between 9pm tonight and 10am tomorrow morning.

Sounds like a snow day if that's accurate, as the ground is pretty dry at the moment.
 
Darlington area reporting in...

Woke up to a very light dusting this morning, which has since melted.

Currently 2.6c.

Just started coming down (lightly but chunky flakes) in Park Gate.
 
Had light to moderate snow showers all morning, not settling as sun is coming out and meting whatever has settled between each shower. The snow should get heavier and more organised over night

Getting Postman Pat vibes from that :D Nothing here in the North East, weather report this morning looked like we won't see any heavy snow until Wednesday evening.

Essentially what we're getting here. Sky goes dark, snows like **** for 10 minutes, then it stops and the sun comes out and melts it all.
