By the way - in 1963 I was 19 and was getting around on crutches as i got knocked off my Triumph just before the winter set in.

It was fun on three legs.

Car thick with frost but so much better then default wet and windy ,garden centre full of cheap plants so got a boot full for under a tenner yesterday and did some light gardening

Drove a couple of minutes to a nice hill nearby ,much better than the cheese ring but no tourist's, again the sun makes all the difference

Heard of a few of the surrounding areas gettings a light dusting recently, but all I've seen is rain. Had about a week of it being overcast, drizzling or chucking it down.

1C in SE London. It's been particularly cold the last few days. I'm not really complaining though, I'd take this any day rather than the occasional stifling heat of summer.

Bah typical looks like snow for a good bit of the US, Japan and likely a reasonable amount across Scandinavia but not so much here :s

Some crazy graphics coming out for the polar region - don't really know what it means but pretty dramatic and looks like a lot of cold is going to be sent the US's way.

It tried I guess - rarely worth getting excited unless the air mass drops below -10 for much of the UK.

Quite interesting goings on over the polar region though - looks like a pretty big disruption to the polar vortex - likely giving the US some decent snow but probably not much offering here

Pretty much hit saturation point here i with torrents of water flowing from the fields , yesterday was fine though and the Atlantic lows are sending nice long period swells that wrap around to the non westerly facing breaks ,living the dream as always

Looks marginal snow wise over the next few days - some places will almost certainly see snow showers but isolated/high ground.
