I'd say this time of year just about to start September is honestly more depressing than January, when you know any chance of a hot summer is gone, Autumn and Winter loom and the cold mornings start again.
Back to the grind and holidays over.

I was thinking this yesterday. I mean, I cycled through wind, rain and snow last winter, looking forward to a nice summer of riding and I feel I've been cheated a bit. Already I'm back in long sleeves and feeling chilly when I head out... provided it's not actually raining. Now I'm thinking I've got to get through another winter and HOPE for a half-decent summer next year.

Lined trousers, tees and fleeces for the next few months. Though still wearing unlined walking trousers at the moment some will be braving shorts in all weathers.

The possibility of a 50’C swing from winter to Summer is unheard of. We’re supposed to have a temperate climate. The idea of -10C to 40C shouldn’t happen to the UK.

fired up the log burner last night, it needed a run and there was a slight chill. ended up being too hot and at 23.5c in the living room and the windows open, hopefully we get a nice September
