Certainly had lots of rain letely though when it comes to a chance of getting the boss tell me not to bother coming in the sun comes out  At least its still pretty mild heating is off for the most part

Not the worst flooding ever but we had some fairly bad flooding around where I work from around 4-5pm onwards - some roads under 2 feet of water (measured), quite a few dips and corners of roads under significant water with at least a dozen abandoned cars due to people doing silly things.

my drive back from Oxfordshire yesterday was horrendous, Bristol was very heavy rain so all the numptys put their fog light on ,passed through it as i entered Devon, today coolish and a messy mix of rain and sun

First time my ginger has looked like it might flower (one bud under leaf covering Merc)
Seems to love it here and having an extended season this year

I'm looking at the lawn. I thought I may have finished cutting for this year but perhaps not. The rain and sun keeps it growing.

E: it got cut again.

Looking at the upcoming daytime temps i think i'll be having to put the heating on in a few days :/

Managed to hold off so far, the majority of the house has been ~16c for the past week, the strong southerly winds we've been having have helped but are due to change to NW midweek

Looks like either south west / southern coasts of England or northern France could see exceptionally strong and damaging winds on Thursday - possible 90-100mph gusts in the English Channel with a deep area of Low pressure (~950mb)...still five days away mind but something to keep an eye on. More rain on the way too.

Just a heads up for Wed/Thursday - Storm. This is the current track, but other charts have showed it going into France.

Grim. November is the worst month of the year.
January is deep into winter. But usually much nicer. At least it's usually a bit drier/sunnier

This year, especially this half seems to still generally be quite close to the 1978/79 patterns, if it continues while it might not be a winter as extreme as the 78/79 one could turn out to be quite a bit more wintery than people have got used to of late.

so just normal weather then for this time of yr .. as you look back to the 70's 80's and the rest you see it is we and Ireland are the first hit off the atlantic ..who would have thought it .. ????

November you at least have Christmas to look forward to. January goes on too long and there's only February which is pointless. January is the worst month.
i love it quietest time of yr in my line of work .. and the sea fishing is great .. can't wait .. i've got a week booked off from the 5th :)
