Actually stopped raining today and the sun was out. Amazing. Spent the afternoon clearing up the mountains of leaves the weeks storms have brought down. Plenty of flooding around not for the first time glad to be on higher ground still too warm for the time of year though woke up this morning feeling much too hot

Where are you? I’ve been absolutely freezing the past few weeks!

Anyone here watch the Met Office Deep Dives on Youtube? There's one every Tuesday.
Yesterdays was quite interesting. 2 noticeable points, they showed all the different storm Ceiran paths predicted by various models and compared with the actual track it took. The Met Office prediction was practically bang on.
Looking ahead to winter, there's a tendency for colder than recent years winter due to the strong El Nino we have currently.

Hope this translates in some snow in the south! :D

It was spot on. I remember posting about it a few days ago when people were saying it was overblown (lol).

But it wasn't. The wind speeds they said. Not sure where people get their weather from though.

On flip side I got soaked on Saturday when it said light intermittent rain!

Had some very wet muddy walks lately just me, wild horses and a lone dog walker in 6 miles or so yesterday, flask of tea in the rain.by Jubilee rock

Had the lounge storage heater on the first use of the season max input and boost to burn the dust collected over the summer, with the door open, the other night.

Tonight it's the turn of the back room, it was a chilly 14C in there today, the fish were wearing balaclavas and gloves!

Oh I hate storage heaters! In the place me and my ex rented, we had them. Had no control what time the heat came on. Hot in the morning. Came home from work and it was freezing.

We went to the market and bought some thick jumpers. Turned the heaters off and used an electric heater.

Got a group litter pick on Sunday. As it’s Remembrance Sunday we are starting at 7:30am, instead of 8am so get home for any parades we want to see on tv or closer to home.

It’s going to be 2c! Going to wear several layers. Though get warm if have to drag something large from a ditch or wooded area. Litter picks you have no idea what anyone finds.

Only 14c in here so I have put the heated throw on red , looking nice today and the chimney smoke down the bottom hardly drifting, probably head for a surf, always a summer Vibe on a nice day in Polzeath and the sea is warmer than the air

1c here in Morecambe Bay at the moment. No clouds and a proper sub-zero freeze last night. Standing water in the garden is covered with ice. Still not put the heating on. Might crank up the stove later to dry my washing, though.

Beautiful frosty morning, house is dropping to 17C overnight now. Wife demands the heating go on so it's on.

I think if my family were here the heating would be on but I am tropical under the heated throw and with dehumidifier on as well the house is drawing 150w
Edit/ car told me 5.5c outside

The weather is completely different than last year, and I'm going to call it that at some point this winter it's going to get a lot colder than last year as well.

First hints
