What makes a difference here seems to be amount of sun. Cold and sunny is better than warm and cloudy.

I think its the amount of bad windows. Sun hits them and warms the house. But if it's overcast heat just flows out.

I have one last winter of 5p gas unit price.. I think even at that it's gonna be expensive
 
I put a new thermal top on under my jumper today for the school run. I was sweltering! It was 15 degrees out this morning.. I thought it was going to be way colder! :D
 
One thing i have noticed is that rememberance Sunday is always dry at 11am.

Done 6-7 parades as a Brownie and then Guide and it was freezing but dry

CH on, electric blanket switched on max a couple of hrs before bedtime, and a coat on my legs.

You must know my brother -Thats all he says. Mind you he lives on a canal boat.:D
 
Still not as cold as I expected which is good, stubbornly sticking above that 6/7 degree mark, we even have a few 12 degree days coming up!
 
15 in the house at the moment.
Slightly chilly but some thick socks, dressing gown all good. Not put heating on yet and don't intend to unless it gets stupidly low.
