Winter 2023/24 - It's FREEZING!

Not as cold this morning. Minus 3. Lots of heavy looking clouds around. Got a weather warning for 7-12 cm of snow today on phone.
House 20-21 which is fine walking around in. 23 is better. Cats gone back to bed next to radiator.

Thick oil. My grandfather god rest his soul used to swear by a paraffin heater placed under the sump in winter. The garage never burnt down either.
 
I had an intermittent charging problem on my old Fabia that did this but every time I put a volt meter across when running it gave me a good 14.5 v so it threw me for a while, a well charged battery with the correct CCA rating shouldn't struggle
On an even older car it was a bad battery earth doing this

Same, in the midlands. I remember driving to work once with snow piled up high either side of the road after a snowplough had gone through, don't see that here anymore.
 
I don't think we will get much snow - never do once I have put winter wheels on.

Only been in snow once about 3" and difference was unbelievable -Car stopped and even went round corners.
 
I had 2 spiders in my house last night.

the freezing weather must be forcing them to sit around windows/doors where it's likely warmer even outside.

one was just inside the front door after I came inside so must have dived through the gap where the hinges are.

watch out people for the night is dark and full of spiders
 
Snowed all night, nearly 2ft deep in places, going to snow all day and all tomorrow too, think i need to get some huskies :D
