So we went from 2ft of snow to all gone over the weekend, temps jumped up. This morning we went from snow again to a beautiful clear night, crazy how the weather changes in a matter of hours!

Wednesday 20 Dec - Friday 29 Dec

Broadly mild with some brighter spells in the southeast and wet and windy conditions in the northwest. Windier conditions spread south by end of the week followed by potential for blustery showers in the northwest, whilst clearer spells into the southeast. By the weekend a return to wet and windy conditions with intermittent showery periods from the northwest, most rain over northwest areas, though small amounts of transient sleet or hill snow possible on the leading edge of bands of rain. This likely recurring through the period with milder and wetter westerly periods interspersed with a risk of with colder north-westerly or northerly conditions and showers, some wintry over hills. However, at this stage there is little sign of any widespread or severe cold and wintry weather.

Saturday 30 Dec - Saturday 13 Jan

Most likely continuing unsettled with bands of rain crossing the UK with brighter conditions and showers in between. The wettest and windiest conditions are most likely in the north and northwest. Short-lived colder spells remain possible, with hazards such as snow and ice, particularly in the north. The chance of these colder spells increases moving into January, with a low likelihood of a more prolonged spell of cold weather developing around mid-month.

Been a bit of wind most of the night but just had a crazy gust almost like a bomb going off, whole house shook and could hear like the pressure against the windows - was actually worried they'd break!

Who's liable if someone's wheelie bin smashes into someone's car and causes damage?
Not my car but got woken by a car alarm and saw a wheelie bin flipped over and when heading out to work it's dented the door of someone's car.

I could be wrong but I think thats classed as an act of God.... my money is on Jesus though, he loves doing that **** around his birthday time. " Thy shall Smite a Audi with thy rubbish collector" - I think that was a line in the bibel

Hate this weather we are getting down here (south Wales)

Gloomy, damp, windy.
Its the weather I hate. Give me 0c and bright.

Glad to see the nonsense the daily fail etc were spouting about a white Christmas has been put to bed

It's the same here in Hampshire. Occasional dry day, but no sunshine. Nothing gets a chance to dry out.

Just a nice wee breeze in Fife this morning surprisingly enough. It’s absolutely roasting for this time of year too. I’ve had to take my hat off when out working!
