Thanks !No snow here, its just brass monkeys! Lovely pics above.
Could be my carp memory, but I don't recall snow laying when I lived on the west side of Wirral as a teen 85-92.Blanket of snow here this morning. Very slippy on the bike slid off sideways once, nearly did it again simply turning a corner but managed to save it.
Hope it's melted by the time i ride home
Yeah, we don't get snow around here very often.
I remember wading through deep drifts as a young child though, maybe early 80's.
I think the last time it was bad was 2010. I'd just started work here and everyone had to abandon their cars.
Heh remember those days too listening to the radio to see whether buses would be running/schools would be closed (they very rarely did in those days) seeing the cars struggling to get up the hill/generally sliding about. All a memory now like the snow its a thing of the past.Remember walking to school in the 70/80s and there would be massive drifts, get to school and the teachers would tell you the boiler was broken so we get to go home, best days ever
If anything happens it'll fall as rain its already clouded over and hit 7c the highest its been for a week here on the coast. Maybe inland will be luckierLooks like the south coast may or may not see some snow into early Wednesday but the rest of us will miss out, frustratingly a setup which could have gone either way but ended up with the front far too much to the south and the cold not quite building in right.
Honestly, trust the French to ruin anything good.Blimey, look the at the amount of snow northern france are getting for a sustained period, over a full day of continual heavy snow.
THAT WAS MEANT TO BE OURS IN THE SOUTH, DAMN FRENCH!!!
I was watching some of the Met Office YT videos at the weekend. They seem to like frowning on the thumbnails for some reason.
