Yet another immense episode. Are there two left now? That scene at the beginning, was unreal...and another amazing ending. Certainly one of the most gripping fantasy series' I have ever watched

Watch The Borgias then ;), though not strictly fantasy

I'm going to have to check out The Borgias I think. Game of Thrones isn't really heavy on the fantasy anyway, there haven't even been any wizards yet! Well, apart from Samwell admitting he wanted to be one :p

...and I hope they keep it like that tbh. I don't like the idea of dragons flying about, hope they don't start spawning everywhere blondie goes!

Lena Headey is much hotter when she's brunette!

Think the best looking woman on there is the whore who used to be in Hollyoaks apparently, the one what was behind the Khalisee in the market and also taught her to **** in a previous episode.

I'm still trying to work out if that guy (the one who stopped Khalisee from drinking) was told of the attempt on her life from the messenger boy? That's why he intervened? Or did he get the order to prevent it?

I guess all will be revealed in time.

I think that he was in on the whole thing. Either he knew from the beginning and he used to it to gain more trust/power. OR he knew it was going to happen but thought that he would have more power by sticking with the Dothraki as all the king offered him was a pardon.

Yeah I think you are correct, especially now that he has been offered any horse that the Dothraki have!

Will be interesting to hear what happens when they find out that the king is dead.

The Lannisters have 60k troops iirc? The Dothraki have 40k so there are very interesting times ahead!

"That guy" (sir Jorah Mormant) has been passing information about the two Targaryn children back to King's landing for quite a while (he is mentioned as the source of the information when they are discussing assassinating Daenerys). I presume his Royal Pardon is his reward for that information.

As for the poisoning scheme - he will have known what the King would try to do, and having received his pardon he will have known some kind of attempt would be coming soon. I guess he either had a change of heart (his loyalty to Daenerys has developed over time), or he thought that, now he had his pardon, he could play both sides by protecting her from the assassination attempt he (indirectly) set in motion.

Loved the episode last night and things are really starting to hot up.

Winter coming and the white walkers.
All change down in Kings Landing.
Dothraki horde on the warpath.

and more sex scenes :D

Anyone else think all the graphic sex in this is a bit much?

I mean it isn't the sort of thing you could sit down and watch with your mother in the same room is it?

Its fine, its just sex. Most people do it, indeed the mother in the room had to have done it herself in order for you to be sat in the same room as her. :)

Besides, we have decapitations, blood, horses necks being cleaved. Not aiming at you, but its so bizarre that blood and killing is deemed fine, but show some genitalia or sex and thats wrong. Its no wonder we have a global reputation as being a repressed nation :D

So the battle for the thrones begins, and the claimants lay out their stalls.

So far we know the following would lay their claim to sit on the iron throne:

Prince Joffrey
Karl Drogo & Daenerys
Renly Baratheon - Roberts youngest who tried to persuade Ned to help him and fled.

and what of Stannis Baratheon ? technically the kings rightful successor and the one ned feels should be the next king.

And then we have the upcoming war that Tywin wishes to rage upon House Tully and House Stark for the imprisonment of Tyrion.

The next series is going to be amazing :D

no, that would be your prudish british values. It wasn't exactly graphic.

Any talk of unaired episodes in the UK isn't allowed, come on guys you all know the drill.

good job there aren't any unaired episodes to be discussed then.

The US premiere was only a day before the UK premiere. For once they aren't getting this any earlier than we are.

Any talk of future events is purely of the books, and of content written in previews by journalists who get to see the episode early, fully authorised by HBO for promotional purposes.

This is one of my favourite things on TV at the moment! Am really tempted to get the books and read them, although at the speed I read they'll have all been on TV before I've finished them!

Is there only 3 episodes left now?

I think we won't see much of the White Walkers until the last episode, which makes sense really, Winter is Coming so the next series will be when winter has arrived as has a bigger budget for the producers?

Will the weather prevent the outbreak of a huge war?
