I am sick to death of the calise story ark, so much boring screen time invested in it. She is pretty much the only character i can safely predict won't be killed off as people would simply rage quit after sitting though all that tosh.

Tell me about it, I cannot stand those scenes.

Kalise: inbred, incestuos , self absorbed do gooder who causes more trouble then good. She makes Mr.Magoo seem like a safe pair of hands.

Khaleesi. And the whole point of her story arc is how she has to learn to become a queen, after starting life as little more than a bargaining chip for her brother. You'd hardly expect her to know how to rule because she's never been trained to, and she's (supposed to be) sixteen years old at the start (fourteen in the books IIRC). That said, her character is not well developed.

One thing in glad that they have changed from the books is that whilst this still drags a little, it's nowhere near as bad as the books where she ends up going around in circles for an age!

Just caught up with all the latest and I thought the finale of season 4 was excellent:)

Having come to the series late (watching all seasons this year) I can see why some are frustrated by subtle/gradual progressions this season. I was spoiled by being able to move on to the next season with little delay previously... but I now know what it feels like to have to wait:o:D

It's interesting to see how the series popularity is influencing it's development. In my opinion it's become more or less mainstream, having never read the books has this happened in the literary form? I'm not saying this is a bad thing because a larger audience obviously ensures further seasons but the shocks seem much more considered or am just desensitised:o:D (I did have a hand over mouth/O.M.G moment at the end of The Mountain v Viper battle though:o:p)

The guys that have read the books seem to have hinted at certain arks/characters being left out so far do you think perhaps they're saving some things up for a possible movie franchise? As the characters and locations seen so far in my opinion certainly would work well in that form:)

I find Dany's constant Jim'll fix it type scenes annoying as well.

That was a little annoying. In the book she's kind of fobbed off all the guys with dead sheeps and just put someone else in charge of compensating dead sheeps.

When this guy comes into her court and puts down the dead bones she gets annoyed with him asking him why he's brought her this dead sheep and he should get compensated like normal, then he says it's his child and then she's like 'my bad home dawg have loads of money because I feel like a ****'.

Loved this series, just sad it's over until the next :(.

Found out the other day that John Snow (Kit Harington) was in my A-Level Photography class at college and spoke to him quite a bit. Would never have known if I wasn't told as he looks so different. This shot of him from when he was in War Horse on the West End is pretty close...

Amazing what long hair and a beard does :p

I enjoyed the last episode. Found the battle scene north of the wall whilst not hugely battle-esque the fight scene looked immensely epic for the first time. So pleased with how they handled that! :D

The whole Brienne/Hound stuff didn't happen in the books did it? Or have I forgot everything now? :p

Sort of. The main problem is that despite the fact that the series has broken out of the ghetto, most of the changes to the books made by Benioff and Weiss are aimed at the ghetto audience. Most of these changes are Fan Service - of all kinds. Hence the frequent nudity (mostly not in the books), the increased number of fights (most of the book ones are out of sight), the duel between Brienne and Sandor Clegane etc.

No it didn't happen, and if I remember correctly, the Hound didn't even take Arya as far as the guards to the Eerie. There was certainly no laughing fit or news of her Aunt.

Most normal people I know that watch it don't know half the character names, they watch it because of the atmosphere, the fights, and the bewbs. THe only person I know and actually speak about plot and potential future events with is someone I would consider is not normal, this is because he's read the books :p
