Apart from Thiago he was our last midfield purchase..nigh on 5 years ago :(
Yup. Midfield been neglected for a long time, its been covered up partly due to season we did well and the trophies we got however like many its been clear its needed revamps for few seasons now.

I genuinely don't see it happening, this will be our worst season under Klopp

Supposedly contract discussions with Keita have broken down and he will now be allowed to leave on a free in the summer. Wont even get anything back on the 52m we paid for him. Thought we might get half of that back or something but nope, going for nought
HALF   , he’s not even worth £10m

Pick on Arsenal time.

I highly doubt this is true but its starting to pop up over the place.

"Newcastle look set to steal Sergej Milinkovic-Savic right from the hands of Arsenal, according to The Sun.
The Gunners have been chasing the Lazio midfielder and had looked to strike up a deal with the Italian side for the Serbian midfielder to join on loan until the end of the season, before paying out £44m for a permanent deal."

If Chris Wood is a 25 million pound player so is Keita :p
Chris Wood is absolutely not a £25m player, we were well and truly bent over on that one and paid his release clause but that also weakened an opponent. None of which applies to Liverpool or Keita as it actually weakens Liverpool leaving Keita exactly where he currently is.

Its going to be really funny if Chelsea spend loads of money and still don't get european football this season.

This is what happens when you spend too much time chasing one transfer.

For me, he was needed more than Mudryk, but we’ve got to be stingy and try to get him on a loan. We’re pathetic in the transfer market.

On the one hand, good riddance, on the other, whoever thought it was a good idea to enter contract talks with a player that's made out of dunked biscuits, needs a psychological assessment.

Paper talk to boost interest and clicks.

We've been linked with SMS in every transfer window for around the past five years, without ever seemingly making an offer for him. We are also covered in the role he would play at Arsenal.

Aye but he is refusing to sign a new contract.

Stumbling block has always been his fee.

But who knows this window is getting nuts

Mudryk's transfer feels like an eBay listing with some crazy last minute bidding and 1 party got caught up in the hype and the frenzy and just bid crazy money just to get it.

It is a HUGE risk and a massive contract for an largely unproven player. I thought the Anthony deal was overpaid, this is just another level and then some.
