Theres only so much a DM can do

Isn't that kind of his point. Thats like saying that the best keepers make the most saves. They don't, they often make the least because their team concedes very few shots. DMs in more attacking sides have far less work to do than those in teams that sit back more.
Depends on how you defend.
Newcastle have one of the highest defensive lines and very quick at wining the ball back.

For a "defensive team" Newcastle have scored more goals than Manu.

But I'm not really arguing for Newcastle or J7.

Rice is fantastic and I would have him in a heart beat. I never really rated him until I watched him more closely for England. (More defensive role)

5th in the league for passes In the other teams half.

That link you have posted is a year old. Goals for is also a bad stat unless you take it with context. When we had a huge GD the other season it was due to us pummeling Southampton by 9 goals not because we were scoring loads. Pummeling 10 men teams etc.
Rice passing stats this season and this coming from one of the best ball winners in the league. 90%+ Percentile In 3 passing stats. I leave it at that.

Passes
1096
60.89
91Percentile

Successful Passes
992
/ 1096
55.11
94 Percentile
Pass Completion Rate
90.51%

95
Key Passes

1.17
74 Percentile

I would hazard a guess that Newcastle will be playing in one of the European competitions next season and we are clearly not ready.

Newcastle need a Forward (first team/flexible cover)CB(prospect), CM/DM (First team) and a RB.(prospect)

Forward - Thuram will do. Like Isak can play across the front 3.

Thuram/Isak/Wilson/ASM/Miggy. Should give enough up front for cover and to change things about when needed.

Jolinton has been covering ASM all season and has been effective but I would prefer him to drop back into the middle. (Wood can come on and take a penalty if needed lol)

CM/DM Straight into the first team or there abouts. We are woefully short here and it sounding like Shevley might not ever kick a ball for us again. Contract and injuries.

New player to join Brunno and Jolinton. Willock and Longstaff are good enough to sit on the bench and or rotation.

We are blessed atm in defence but long term replacements for Schar and Trippier is needed.

Lewis, Murphy, Frasier, Richie and Manquillo need sold. These players should not be near the first team they are championship players at best.

Two good transfers would make a world of difference for the toon.

Two long term targets that links never went away.

Doubt it but thats some window if that gets pulled off buts that 80m+ worth of talent.

Maddison out for at least 10 days with a injury thats not been fully explained. Wonder if he will play for LCFC again.
Think it's obvious he wants a move to Newcastle but would Leicester take a chance in benching him because of refusal to sign a contract?

Is he injury prone?

Hey who's up for mischief ^^

Thought I was being helpful this time instead of trolling!!!!

Caicedo is quality and his stats back it up.
Doesn't get the limelight Like Rice who is also quality.

Would be very jealous who ever gets the two player's.

Probably looking at fees at 55 to 85 million for both players with Rice being the higher

I can't be the only person that had never heard of this guy 4-5 months ago and still has never seen him kick a ball. £80m odd for a player out of the Ukrainian League, who's done little to nothing at any high level seems bonkers.
I wouldn't even know were to look up his stats or even if they would be useful.

Pick on Arsenal time.

I highly doubt this is true but its starting to pop up over the place.

"Newcastle look set to steal Sergej Milinkovic-Savic right from the hands of Arsenal, according to The Sun.
The Gunners have been chasing the Lazio midfielder and had looked to strike up a deal with the Italian side for the Serbian midfielder to join on loan until the end of the season, before paying out £44m for a permanent deal."
