Witcher 3

Crossbow takes out water enemies fairly sharpish

1 hit kill iirc.

Just finished the baron main quest..

bit gutted, the poor bugger hung himself after his wife Anna died from the witches curse. I rather enjoyed his character! :( and that botchling quest was rather disturbing! Edit, I didn't kill the botchling, I turned it into a ludderkin!

Wow... mine worked out quite differently. I managed to save her, and he took her to a mystical healer that he knew. The daughter joined the Eternal Flame guard and went off with them, but there was an inkling that they'd stay in touch regarding her wellness.

Though I haven't really been back to speak to him (as quest lines haven't told me to...) but I think I'll do it now!

Just done the first part with Ciri and encountered a really annoying bug. She jumps constantly...can't stop her!! Luckily it didn't affect the combat though.

Only just reached Level 4 but bit annoyed that some quests started automatically as I was travelling along the road and then failed because I didn't do them - some were Level 10+ so I couldn't.

Guess I need to just focus on levelling so I can take on more sidequests.
cleared all of white orchard to my knowledge and was only Level 3.5

Just completed the "Wandering in The Dark" quest.

Man it was fun! I think I bit off more than I could chew though as I ran out of food...was pretty sketchy in parts (currently level 4)
Back to White Orchard to finish everything there before I move on.

LOVING this game. One of the best RPG experiences since DAO for me :)

Looks great on my PC but opted for the Xbone version

EDIT: Is there a way to tell how many hours I have out into the game?

Wondering if someone can clarify something;

I am still in White Orchid and am doing a lot of the ? marks and generally wandering around. My main quest was to question some guards to find out where the Griffin nest was or where some soldiers went missing. However when just travelling around and exploring I came across the dead griffin. This meant that in the quest sub screen it has a red cross next to two quests (which were to question people on the location of the nest). So did I miss out on XP?

WOW! I had no idea the outcome could be as drastic as that! I ended up going back to the swamp with him, where we saw his daughter, he then ended up taking his wife away to get her possibly healed somewhere. The daughter left to continue fighting with the Eternal Fire people.

Like I said I had no clue your decisions could make THAT much difference!

I've put about 27 hours in now, currently level 11 I think. Bloody loving it. Worried about finishin the main quests too soon though, I'd like to know how far along it I am really but don't want to ruin any of the story by searching it out.

Basically what happened for me.. i had a quest for the three crones to go and investigate some mysterious happenings under a big oak tree. turns out whatever was under the tree was a trapped spirit or something. my hunch told me to let the spirit in the tree free. turns out later in the game, when you meet the baron in that little village due north of crookback bog, all the villagers have massacred each other due to this spirit seeking revenge (lol oops) anyhoo. the daughter went her own way, anna died of the curse, there was no way to heal her. the baron said meet me back at crows perch for ya money. so i turned up, and there he was hanging off the tree in the middle of the keep.

just got to level 11/12 now. got all the griffin school armor :D and the two swords. i think i've just got over 20 hours play time so far.

So far - on the second area - the game has been great. Apart from one thing - the controls are awful. Just picking up items or getting on your horse can be a serious test of patience. You pretty much have to look at Geralt's animation and judge when his stride will stop to interact with anything accurately. It also feels like there's masses of input lag.

Otherwise all good. It looks lovely!

also forgot to mention, loving the general peasants accent's. :D (actually, the whole games voice acting so far has been nothing short of superb)

they sound really common!

Oh wow, I was SO sure I'd made the wrong decision by killing the tree as the Crones were so horrible. I almost went back and reloaded an old save to change my mind, but then realised that's silly and I should go with whatever my instinct was at the time. Glad I didn't now :)

Currently level 22 and am really worried...

I said I loved Triss, sent her back to Taer Morhen. Then I said I loved Yen and we now have a quest there. #manwhoreproblems

If I pick up a quest note, and the quest is added to my quests section..can I then drop the note that the quest was originally written on? I got loads of quest notes from quest boards and I wanna dump em

Has anyone used the sea shell / pearl disassemble / loan shark vending loop?

Amassed 20k plus a stack of materials to sell in the future in about 20 mins.

I was on the fence but decided a bit of money isn't really a game breaker and I would rather get on with playing the game rather than farming for materials and money.

I did it with GTAV and rampaging through missions full of
rail and mini guns soon got old.

Killed the game a bit for me
