Witcher 3

Really? The combat is not nearly as difficult as the souls games in terms of patience, timing etc. Only if you are fighting something well above your level, or if you get surrounded by enemies, is it really hard?

Maybe I don't understand the game mechanics. My hits don't seem to do much damage and food doesn't give you back much health.

To make matter worst I'm stuck and I'm playing it on easy.

I found the combat in Witcher 2 better tbh. It all feels a bit clunky in Witcher 3.

Still a great game and having lots of fun exploring although I keep forgetting to save....

I picked this up on PS4. I was going to upgrade my GFX and get it on pc but decided the console is good enough for me.

Haha I did exactly the same , found that the quen sign was best then just being patient and a lot of dodging !

had to do the same to get passed the botchling, don't suppose their is much point in raising it now.

I decided to dip mine to normal after that mission as i was locked into it, no potions, food etc and it saved on the way in! Got through it but was more annoying than enjoyable so dipped it down afterwards.

Also i love the game making us make choices that arent obvious which is good or bad etc :)

Spoiler alert.

what choice did people choose when talking to the huge heart underneath the old oak tree? The quest to do with the three witches. I chose to let it go.. I hope it doesn't come back to bite me in the ass :D

Level 18, got the Cat / Feline Witcher set which is absolutely boss. I love that you have to change tactics for different foes, fight them completely differently, changing signs, bombs etc. Such a great game .

I chose to kill the tree, my reasoning being that the crones had kept the natural order forever and at least you knew where you stood, however the tree could have been truly evil.

Ended up with all the children in the village being shipped off somewhere (and presumed killed and brewed into a stew) but I had the option to go back to the village and rescue the bloody barons wife.

I chose to save the tree. It transferred itself to a black horse, with red eyes. The horse was called black beauty and rode off into the sunset. Presumably saved the children as they're now gone. And the old women is now owned by the witches. :D dunno what consequence that means for the story though.

Just been slaughtering a load of bandit camps near and around midcopse. Finding hidden treasures and also gaurded treasures.

Anyone else walk from town to town clearing the points of interest on the way? :D

Quen and Axii for me. Put a bit in to Igni as well to riff off a blue mutagen. I do wish I could reset my abilities though as I'd make slightly different choices given the chance to start again.

This can be done...

the good witch Keira Metz sells something for 1000 that will do that for you. Let you redistribute all ability points.

Re Botchling

doesnt have to be killed at all if you choose the option to turn it into a lubber kin. Have to fight a load of wraiths though.

Out of white orchard now. Level 5 and found all of the places of power so got another 6 ability points to spend now.

Got to make some decisions about the type of character to build.
