I notice some Q6600's are only getting to 3.4Ghz on 1.47V like my E6600 so I think its too risky to buy a NEW Q6600 only buy ones that have been overclocked to high speeds, tested and proof given, looks like a lot of lemon Q6600's around.

LOL, the Quads are more wannabees, they are 2 Dual Cores stuck on 1 wafer.(not saying its all bad but kinda makes your statement funny.
if you're looking to do 3.6ghz on 1.35v or something then you're going to be looking for awhile. I've only seen a small handful of people get that

Heres my Q6600 G0
Just 1.28v (1.31v in bios) to get fully prime stable at 3.6ghz. These G0’s are just getting better and better, OCUK got a bunch of OEM chips that clocked like mad. This one was a late retail and clocks just as well.
My old E6600 needed 1.45v to run the same frequency! which made it run hotter, had no chance of running at 4Ghz
Sorry, done it again, gurusan keeps baiting me into a quad debate![]()
An E8400 has just landed on my doormat it's a SLAPL.
Will be "playing" with it later today, but gotta take the wife shopping first![]()
Shocking, you need to get your priorities in order!

I'll say it again...the P5B Deluxe is plenty capable of clocking quads. Mine was running 460fsb stable (x8 multiplier) with a B3 quad
