Ok! Sorted more e8500's out so should be enough to cover existing pre-orders at least

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
Well sort of, Weescots has an E8500 not a 3Ghz E8400, so it’s really 3.16ghz 6mb 14.88s pi vs your slightly faster 3.6ghz 4mb 14.2s pi.
So as far as 1mb pi is concerned the extra cache makes up for around 300-400mhz.
Still mighty impressive.
Thanks for the clarificationDagwood - Depends what time they land dude, might be late on which would affect dispatch
Cheers. 1Mb v 6Mb is a big difference. Another quick question. Does cache have much real world significance? I know it offers only a small improvement in games for example.
No discussions!
The bad news is the e8400s ain't gonna hit us til tomorrow. The Good News? We're getting hundreds![]()
Jedi, are OCuk competitive for the e8400s?
