This is good stuff for anyone buying into Core2 Duo for the first time, think the E8400 is a good price considering what the existing Core2 Duo chips are selling for and . . . . . what a whack on the prices for the E8500 lol

Not sure still, the difference might only be a couple hundred Mhz between E8400 and E8500 in clocking.. we need an expert opinion![]()

You should upgrade your desk/workspace Will, may not be as easy as just popping a new CPU into your system but you will appreciate it 1000% more than some extra 3DMarks!I dunno if I should make a move tbh.

In the cyber world those are benefits but are they worth £140 ish to you?Its not just 3dmarks though, its lower electric consumption, runs slightly cooler, and I might be able to hit 4Ghz![]()
