What a n00b quote, using the Panzer is indeed very n00bish but a skilled player with a panzer can dominate the game, especially at level 4 :).. oh the memories

Perhaps it is that I have not played the games that everyone keeps comparing it to. But perhaps that allows me to see it with fresh eyes. And I am not restricted by expectations.

I have great fun with this game, and can happily play for hours - the only game I can do this with. Normally I break hourly, or less. With this I carry on for hours.

The learning curve is big to use classes in the most efficient way. Hell, only just now getting the hang of GDF - suck as Strogg.

Agreed. I haven't played ET:RTCW, but after 2 hours playing the QW multiplayer demo I was totally and utterly hooked. Why is there such a strong resentment towards this game?

Was it the performance issues first noted that did it? Or is it fanboyism towards other games released at the same time that has provided bad publicity which everyone echos whenever the game is mentioned? :confused:
 
I'll have to try it first but if its like et, then the maps are probally fairly small compared to the newer games which imo is not a step foward... games with large maps are no where near as vibrante the likes of et. large maps only work well with the likes of planetside
 
think I'm gonna have to see if they still have that free to level xxxx bit on and have a play

and as for the original question TF2 is the only choice at the moment for class based teamplay, and theres also remakes of old RTCW maps like Base which works really well. I have them running on my custom map server ;)
