Wolfenstein The New Colossus

Really need to get off this damn sub... you have like 5-10 minutes of actual game play followed by some overly sentimental cutscene and some pointless running around to go and find someone / exit point etc.
Have to admit I'm enjoying this game less and less each time I play it. Looks good and runs great but there is WAY too much padding going on.

looks & runs ok.

nowhere near as good looking & well optimised as doom.

1+, I can never find things on that damn sub, the map is a joke. I don't know if I will finish this one.

Yeah I'm in agreement about whether I'll see this game through.

I enjoyed the original "reboot" as it came out of nowhere and felt fresh, but this game is just annoying me. I only paid 20 quid on sale but honestly I think I should have waited a year until it was a fiver or something lol.

The fact that I'm stuck on a level that I just can't get past, despite repeatedly trying over and over again is not helping

I'm on the part where the enemies are coming up the stairs and lift and I have to kill them all. Any tips? Best position etc as they seem to flank me

Yeah I'm not sure why this game received so much praise over the graphics, I think it looks average.

Only just started playing this but seems good so far and really like look of it
It's also using about 60%-70% of all 16cores/32 threads which is surprising? Runs very well tho at 1440P with a TXP

For some reason the counter on my vault is 00:00 etc but I can select it?

It shouldn't look like that. If you can't select it try verifying the game's files. Also, you need to have got past Manhattan in the main game for it to unlock.

Finally completed today... Despite previous criticism I gave it overall it's a fantastic game. Not without its negatives but the positives far outweigh any negatives.

Hi guys,

Got this and the Season Pass for Christmas and I've been steadily playing through since Boxing Day :)

I've just got back from Venus, I've checked and there's not that much of the game to go but I'm worrying if I've missed anything, mission-wise? Aren't there side missions to do whilst on the sub? I've not come across any?

Also what about the codes you pick up from the Commanders, don't you have to use them for something? And can I wait until I've completed the base game before having a look at the DLC or is it to visit it before? How do I even start it :D

Sorry for all the Q's... really liking the game so far!

There are side-tasks to do on the sub, you need to go and speak to people. It's worth doing anyway, some of the conversations you have/overhear are quite interesting.

The Enigma Codes are used on the Enigma decoding machine which then unlock assassination missions in areas you've previously visited.

The DLC is entirely separate from the main game storyline, but it's probably worth finishing the main game first.

Thanks TheVoice! How do I start the assassination missions? When I go to the Enigma Machine on the sub, I get Combat Simulation and The Freedom Chronicles. <- That's the DLC right?

That's not the enigma machine, the enigma machine is in the same room as the big tabletop map, i.e. the helm.

Also thanks to Thevoice, I had no idea what these codes were for or how to use them. Weird that one sentence here can make things plain as day, and yet the game didn't convey that info to me.
