Sorry but this is my pet hate. I don't mind a gentle scent of perfume as you pass a lady in street or at the shopping till whilst examining her bag for feminine products. In fact, it's quite provocative in its own way. The gently whiff of purfume not the feminine produst!!

Surely this is the way it's meant to be, just a gentle breeze to get the thought brewing. So why do most women insists in bathing in the stuff like there is no tomorrow.. It’s really not pleasant and quite over powering.

Worse are the women who spray in public places dousing everything and every body ain a ½ miles radius. I'm pointing to the woman who insists on spraying her entire body on the train each morning making sure that everyone comes out smelling of a brothel. Not that I know what one smells like.

The other day, I jump into the lift at work and on of the girls went to her bag (I was getting excited at this point) and removed her perfume (excitement short lived). Pssssssttttttttt.. I nearly choked..

"Do you ******* mind!!”, I said. "I have to go home smelling of your perfume, how am I going to explain that”? "How would you like it if your husband came home smelling of another women’s perfume?”, I rambled on!

To which she answered," Oh I don't have that problem". “My girlfriend always smells very sexy."

:o

As my jaw dropped I realised that some times I don’t have an answer for everything.

So what’s you view?

Do you prefer the gentle whiff of seduction?

Or do you prefer the full on barrage of overpowering perfume?

Too much of the stuff makes my eyes water and everyone thinks I'm crying.

I prefer a gentle whiff...just enough to make me want to pounce of them :p

hehehe owned. :p

I agree, too much is never good. I once shared a house with a guy who used to leave clouds of the stuff in the bathroom before going off to see his missus. It was a case of running in, opening the window, turning on the fan and escaping again before i choked.

But as for overpowering perfume vs girl-on-girl, I know which I'd choose.. ;)

PK!

Your getting old, she was probably lieing and just said that to shut you up from your good "old" rant ;)

Depends if its actually NICE perfume.

If my missus has Pacha perfume on she can wear as much as she likes, but as she
is out of this she is wearing Ghost - which i don't like at all!

I put 2 squirts on and maybe one over my head so it goes on my hair.
Thats all I can afford cos its too bleeding expensive!
:D
I have no sense of smell so have to rely on others to tell me what smells good, people usually comment I smell nice, so I guess I must be doing ok.

Overpowering perfume is evil. An ex-girlfriend wore some horrific Gucci Rush - very powerful and made me sick! If I'm unfortunate enough to encounter it nowadays I start to feel a bit uurrgh

And that is a part of the problem. As the day goes on people get used to the smell of their own perfume and think that it's wearing off. Proper perfumes do not evaporate like that, though. So the person adds more to themselves because they can't smell it anymore. The addition becomes overpowering for others in the area.

Tell the wearer to quit adding, that they smell wonderful already. That will almost never offend someone.

Perhaps they have the fish smell problem? Some people can not generate a certain chemical which stops them smelling of fish. Maybe they are simply dirty mingers who don't wash enough and try and hide it with scents. It worse than cigarette smoke in some cases.

I think it depends on the scent as well. Some perfumes are just horribly cloying and heavy. I really hate walking past women covered in that horrible cheap market stall stuff. Really turns my stomach.

I tend to wear foody perfumes (my current one is lemon meringue pie, and it really does smell exactly like that) so I tend to get told off for making people hungry.

Hey I have an excuse, I cant smell a thing! I can drink milk thats gone off cos I cant smell its gone bad :D
I put perfume on once a day and thats it, sometimes I wont even wear it for work.

Whilst my wife was giving birth to our son, one of the student midwifes walked into the delivery suite (once the new shift of midwifes came in) and absolutely reeked of a sickly sweet overpowering cheap perfume. And I quite like most smells on women.....

My wife shouted 'Get her out.....the smell of her perfume is making me sick !' in the middle of her swear words and contractions - It was understandable, as it was about 10 minutes before our son was born, and the doctor delivering was in agreement - so unfortunately the young nurse had to leave pronto.;)

I once saw a guy get a good full on slap from another guy when he continued spraying his deodourant after having been asked on a few occasions not to do it in the dressing room where everyone else was getting dressed; he nearly lost his job for that.

I also know a female who re applies her lipstick every 1/2 hr; no exaggeration.
